How do I apply?

Interested applicants should submit your applications online at WWW.JOBS.UN.ORG. Vacancies at UNMIS can be found under the heading: Job Opportunities in Peacekeeping and other field missions

STEP 1

Register as a user. Fill in the form and select a user name and password.

STEP 2

Complete and save your Personal History Profile (PHP).

STEP 3

Apply for all vacancies using the saved PHP. This PHP can be up-dated when necessary.

STEP 4

Include in the covering letter the sentence "I would like to be considered for SUDAN ROPe" (Sudan Recruitment Outreach Programme)

STEP 5

Express your interest in serving with UNMIS by ticking UNMIS under "Mission Preference". The electronic system will guide you through the process of applying for oppurtunities in the United Nations Peace Operations. All applicants are strongly encouraged to apply online.

• Qualified candidates must have a high sense of integrity, respect for diversity and ability to work in a team in hazardous and demanding environments.
• Your application will be screened and evaluated against the requirements set out in the vacancy announcement. In the event that you successfully complete the preliminary screening process, you will be contacted for further consideration and interviews for specific positions.
• Your application to a generic vacancy announcement will remain valid for one year. You need not reapply within that period.
