Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p>Featured guests/resource persons:&nbsp;<strong>Three Girls from West Point-Sinkor-Brewerville communities in Monrovia</strong>. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The&nbsp;girls focused their discussion on some forms of violence children are faced with in the home and how girls are affected. One of the girls, Juah Doeyou, defined domestic violence as aggressive behaviors within the home. She said parents or guardians are the ones mainly involved in domestic violence</p>
