Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p>The Tuesday , April&nbsp; 4 Edition of &nbsp;&ldquo;<strong>Justice and Transition&rdquo;,</strong> a program that looks at reform and capacity building efforts being instituted by government and partners , featured officials&nbsp; the Sexual and Gender Based Violence &nbsp;Crimes (SGBV) Unit.</p>

<p>&nbsp; They spoke on, among others, steps being taken by the unit curb rape and other forms of gender based violence in the society</p>
