Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">This week’s edition of Palava featured Mr. Silas Siakor, a civil society activist, who co-authored an article entitled ‘What President George Weah Must Do’. The other author is Robtel Pailey, another civil society activist.<br>The article advances several recommendations to the new government aimed at enhancing national development.</p>
