Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Women’s World discussed the “Ride and Walk for Cancer campaign” and featured Dr. Dawn Barnes-President of the Liberia Cancer Society and Dana Van-Ee-Treasurer/Liberia Cancer Society-Chairperson of the Ride and Walk for cancer campaign. February is celebrated annually as the International Month of cancer awareness.</p>
