Mogadishu – At the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the United Nations in Somalia extends its best wishes to all Somalis during this time.
"Ramadan is a time for families, friends, neighbours and communities to come together and share the joy of this special occasion through iftar and prayers, in a spirit of compassion, solidarity and reflection. On behalf of the United Nations family in Somalia, I wish everyone a peaceful and restful Ramadan – Ramadan Kareem, Ramadan Wanaagsan!" said the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Somalia, James Swan.
The United Nations in Somalia remains committed to supporting the Somali people and government in their pursuit of a peaceful and prosperous nation.
